Privacy
You can play anonymously. If you choose a handle or sign in, we store that handle and an anonymous identifier to attribute leaderboard entries and game history. We use privacy- respecting product analytics to understand which features are used. We do not sell personal data.
Game data and leaderboards may be stored with our infrastructure providers (e.g. Supabase and Upstash). Anonymous play stores nothing that identifies you personally.
Terms
Backcheck is provided “as is” for entertainment. Ratings and simulations are opinionated models, not official measures of player ability. Be excellent to other players: no automated abuse of the leaderboards or APIs.
This is a fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by the National Hockey League, its teams, or the NHLPA. Team and player names are used for identification only.
